Jubilee Baby Gift Pack for 2015 babies

Babies born in Year 2015 will all receive the Baby Gift Pack consisting of 8 items to commemorate Singapore’s 50th birthday! So good….

My EDD is 15 Nov 2014, missed it by 1.5mths, such a waste arg. When I first heard the news, I was already 1mth  pregnant. So, no chance for me!

The items included in the gift bag has been recently released, and was based on voting by the general public. The items were categorized into 3 main elements: items used in baby care, to celebrate the baby’s arrival or commemorate baby’s birth. So, it is actually quite a nice bundle of practical items or for keepsake.

The items are :

-A special medallion

To me, not much use. I have quite a few gold-plated medallions for like year of dragon, rabbit etc. All ended up in my drawer haha.

-Multi-functional shawl

Quite useful to wrap the baby like a receiving blanket or swaddle? Hope it is good material like fleece. Maybe even for breastfeeding cover?

-Baby sling

Definitely useful. We were planning on buying a baby pram, but a free sling can come in handy when we are going out for short while or nearby.

-Set of baby clothes

Baby T-shirt & bottoms
Rompers
Mittens and socks

Quite good as well, more clothes for baby to change. But wouldn’t let my baby wear this for gai gai, just at home.

-Diaper bag

Maybe as spare one ba, or for those not particular about diaper bag design.

-Scrapbook

Once the baby is born, not sure whether have time to do the scrap book anot haha.

-Photo frame

So-so. Maybe can use to display pictures from photoshoot.

-Baby book

Nice..

Other items that were included for voting not but nominated, that I personally would like are:

-Baby feeding set

-Hooded towel with bath toys

Congrats to all mummies-to-be in 2015!

Using the Chinese Gender Calender to predict baby gender? Accurate!

After I knew I was pregnant, we were excited to know whether we are having a boy or girl. So, I was searching online, where there are many old wives tales on how to predict gender. One of them is the Chinese Gender Calender. Claimed to be passed down from the ancient times (700 years old), and 95% accurate.

However, many were confusing because it requires you to know your Chinese lunar age. I finally found one that requires you to input your year of birth instead:

I tried it before knowing the gender, and it says team PINK!

Haha, now that I know the gender, apparently, this was accurate for me. I did a poll on a singapore mummies forum, and guess what, although only 10 people took the test, it was accurate for 8 out of 10. Impressive!

Try it out too and comment below whether it was accurate for ya *winks
